3. Our role (Data Controller vs. Data Processor)
Abstract Logic provides B2B software solutions (including Swastik Healthcare, AbsLogic Voice, and AbsLogic Chat). When our clients use these products to process data belonging to their end-users (e.g., patients or customers):
- Our client is the Data Fiduciary (Controller) and is solely responsible for obtaining legal consent from their end-users under the DPDP Act or other relevant laws.
- Abstract Logic acts strictly as a Data Processor, processing this data only on behalf of and according to the instructions of our client.
We bear no liability for a client's failure to obtain proper consent or comply with data protection regulations regarding their end-users.

5. Lawful basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of:
- Consent — when you submit a contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, you consent to the processing of the data you provide.
- Legitimate interest — for server logs and analytics used to maintain and secure the website, and for anonymising data to improve our products.
- Contractual necessity — when processing is required to deliver a service you have engaged us for.
6. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use third-party tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage to persist
your chosen theme (light / dark). No personal data is stored in cookies or local storage.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, or as required by applicable law. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months.
We reserve the right to retain data beyond these standard periods if necessary to defend against legal claims, resolve disputes, or comply with lawful law enforcement requests.
